Summary

HamsterPDF does not require an account. To run a tool, the file you select is processed to produce your result. This page explains what we collect and why.

Information we collect

• Files you choose to process with a tool.
• Basic technical and usage data, such as browser type, device type, pages visited and general error information, used to keep the site working and to understand which tools are useful.
• Cookies and similar technologies (see below).
• Anything you send us by email, such as your address and message.

Uploaded files and processing

• Files are used only to carry out the task you request (for example merging or compressing). We do not read, sell or share their contents. [V: state whether processing happens in the browser or on the server.]
• Do not upload documents you are not allowed to share, and consider whether a document is sensitive before using any online tool.

Storage and deletion

• We cannot recover a file once it has been removed, so keep your originals.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

Hosting, analytics and advertising providers may process technical data such as IP address as part of delivering their services. Their own privacy policies apply to that processing.

Security

We use standard web practices to protect data in transit, including HTTPS. No online service can promise absolute security, so avoid uploading highly sensitive documents if you are not comfortable with that risk.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data we hold, or to object to certain processing. Contact us and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Children

The service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

We may update this policy as the service changes. The latest version is always on this page; the date below shows when it last changed.
